The Language Services Department delivers essential services to the Republic of Vanuatu and its people, ensuring the that all government documents like; reports, circulars, bills, vacancy, laws and etc. are published in the three official languages for public understanding.
Upon the completion of report, an agency must transfer the final draft to the Language Services Department so that the document can be translated to the languages as requested by the submitting agency. The Language Services Department provides to the people of the Republic of Vanuatu translations, revisions, interpretations, terminology, language awareness and vernacular language preservation.
We facilitate the communication between speakers and users of the three official languages both internally and externally, as well as enabling the Government to communication effectively to its people and with two of the largest linguistic and cultural streams of the world when dealing externally with cultural, educational, development, technical and economic matters.

La Direction des services linguistiques (DSL) fournit des services essentiels à la République de Vanuatu et à sa population, en veillant à ce que tous les documents aministratifs tels que les rapports, note de service, projets de loi, lois, etc. soient publiés dans les trois langues officielles pour une meilleur compréhension du public.
Une fois le rapport terminé, le service ou ministère concerné doit transmettre la version finale à la DSL afin que le document puisse être traduit dans les langues demandées par celui-ci. La DSL fournit à la population ni-vanuatuane des services de traduction, de révision, d'interprétation, de terminologie et de sensibilisation sur les langues officielles et la préservation des langues vernaculaires.
Nous promouvons la communication entre les locuteurs et les utilisateurs des trois langues officielles, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur du pays, et permettons au gouvernement de communiquer efficacement avec sa population et avec deux des plus grands courants linguistiques et culturels du monde lorsqu'il traite de questions culturelles, éducatives, techniques, économiques et liées au développement à l'étranger.
